Forms can be created easily by using the editor. This enables you to create fields, buttons, check boxes and text field without the need to have programming skills. The software adjusts automatically field names and form elements. Non-mandatory fields can be defined easily.

The form system does not require any client software like a mail client or java scripts. A form is made up of a form tag, standard input fields and a submit button. This way all browsers, PDA’s or mobile phones can handle your forms.

 

Sent data will be saved in a form archive and can be accessed and printed out any time. The form can be transmitted in TXT or HTML format. Furthermore a form can be forwarded to email addresses. This way, several staff members can receive the data. Additionally a confirmation mail can be send back to the customer.

Setting up the CMS form module

While in editing mode, click on  Modules -> Forms and fill in the field ‘email’ with an address where you want any submitted data transferred to. Generally all sent data will be saved in the form archive  Extras -> Form archive. To start the installation process, click on create form, this will create the underlying database and install requires files in a ‘form’ directory. Here you will find the files ‘contact.html’, which displays the basic form site, and ‘submit.html’, which contains the functions of a form e. g., sending data, saving a form in the archive and forward data to emails.

Now the new form can be accessed via the URL http://www.yourdomain.com/forms/contact.html. To link the newly create contact form with your menu, click on  Edit menu and then create a new menu item named ‘contact’. Now click on  Create link and select the file ‘contact.html’ in the /form/ directory. Finally save the menu and check the result.

Forms – customising the layout

The CSS editor is the perfect tool to conveniently design your own forms. Changes in colour, customising buttons, background images and frames can be done with the Layout assistant.

Because the software supports all kinds of email accounts, like POP3, SMTP and IMAP, data can be received by your PDA or your mobile phone. So you stay informed about current orders and can respond to them in no time.
