Email setup Thunderbird
Get email address information
If you have not yet set up an email address, first carry out the step » Create email address the end.
The email data (POP3, IMAP, SMTP) can be found in the edit mode of your homepage under E-mail ▶ Email address management .
Click next to the desired email address access data .
All data must be entered exactly as specified in your access data. A distinction is made between upper and lower case!
Set up Thunderbird
You can download Thunderbird for free at: https://www.thunderbird-mail.de/download/
Start Thunderbird and click below Set up account on e-mail .
Fill in the fields "Your name", "Email address" and "Password" with the data from your access data 13
click on Edit manually
Fill in the fields "Incoming server", "Outgoing server", "User name (incoming)" and "User name (outgoing)" with the data from your access data 452
Check all fields marked red in the picture. All settings must be set exactly as in the following image. Specifically ports 993 and 465!
click on Finished
Check IMAP folder settings
Click that Email account and then up Edit account settings
Click that Server Settings and then up advanced
Check all fields marked red in the picture. All settings must be set exactly as in the following image.
"INBOX" must appear in the "IMAP server directory" field and enter if necessary.
click on OK
Restart Thunderbird and check the display of the IMAP folders.
✓ Setup is complete!
Test the settings and send an e-mail to your own e-mail address, check the e-mail inbox.
